Colorado gun stores set a record for Black Friday sales. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation reported that 4,329 firearm purchases passed through the state’s background check system. That’s a 5 percent increase over 2015.
The checks on Black Friday, November 25, also marked a record number of requests for a single day on the CBI InstaCheck system.

The gun market usually heats up during the holiday buying season, but 2016 was already shaping up to be a great sales year. So far, gun sales are up 15 percent. Dealers reported that the election was helping drive sales.
