The City of Boulder will work with a consultant to fill a position focused on diversity and inclusion. The hire is scheduled to happen sometime in early 2019.
The Boulder Daily Camera reports Government Alliance on Race and Equity will help the city lay the groundwork for recruiting a new equity officer. The first phase of that will take around six months.
Renata Robinson, the city's first diversity officer, was hired in 2017. However, she resigned earlier this year.
