Highway C-470 was shutdown around 11:30 a.m. on Christmas morning due to a suspicious package at the Belleview underpass in Jefferson County.

The bomb squad was called in to investigate and a "Code Red" was sent out to "nearby neighborhoods regarding heavy traffic in the area," according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office twitter account.

By 12:45 p.m. the package was deemed not a threat and C-470 reopened. There were no reported injuries.
