Professional background:
Brandee'scareer in radio began in 2002 at the University of Colorado's student-run station, Radio 1190, where she produced a three-hour show and supported that station's promotions. In 2011, she joined CPR'sOpenAiras one of the first hosts and has been a regular voice featured in the evenings and on weekends. Outside of radio,Brandeehas worked stints as a social media editor and freelance content specialist for various organizations.

Favorite music:
I don’t play favorites, but I really love funk, soul, hip hop, anything with a solid beat…and Dolly Parton.

New Radiohead single

Independent record store supporters, Radiohead, are set to release their DVD The King Of Limbs: Live From The Basement in the US at the end of January (digitally December). However, the wait is much shorter for two brand new tracks from this legendary band.

Digable Planets to reunite

Hip Hop legends, Digable Planets have been kind of quiet these days. Formed in 1991 in Brooklyn, NY, the group seemingly reached their peak in 1993, releasing just one more album in the 90s before branching off into other projects. Good news, they’re back.

Future OpenAir artists are born

For two years, Colorado Public Radio has asked listeners to donate “gently-used” band and orchestra instruments, so that children in underfunded music programs throughout Colorado would have a chance to learn to play. We like to think of these kids as the future artists of OpenAir. Keep reading!

Nathaniel Rateliff Exclusive
