- President Donald Trump gave the commencement address at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs Thursday. It’s tradition for the commander in chief to address graduates at one of the military service academies each year during the president’s term in office. Thursday marked Trump’s first time speaking at the Academy.
- Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers and three at-large city council members were sworn into their roles Tuesday at a ceremony on the steps of the Pioneers Museum in downtown Colorado Springs. Judge HayDen Kane administered the oath of office to Mayor Suthers, returning councilmembers Tom Strand and Bill Murray, and first-term councilmember Wayne Williams.
- On the March edition of Air Check, Jake and Jeff listen to some music with local musician and record producer Adam Hawkins during the musical roundtable discussion. Hawkins owns a recording studio in Colorado Springs called Right Heel Studios where much of the Pikes Peak region’s local talent choose to lay down tracks.
