The history of the Instrument Drive
CPR launched the Instrument Drive in 2009 to promote music education and appreciation throughout the Colorado community. That first year, CPR listeners and supporters donated more than 120 instruments.
Since then, the event has grown exponentially and now operates as its own non-profit organization, Bringing Music to Life. To date, thousands of instruments have gone to more than 100 Colorado schools and music programs.
A vibrant music community starts with music education
