Here's one of the more unusual sessions we've hosted featuring a classical musician. Colorado Symphony principal trombonist John Sipher surprised us with a piece he composed for trombone and looping pedal.
Sipher plays a few bars on his instrument, lets the loop pedal record it and play it back, and then adds more intricate layers over the original pattern. The music includes unusual beatboxing and a wall of gorgeous harmonies in the piece's surprisingly tender later passages.
