NRO and Breck Music: Summit County Music Lesson Scholarships [applications due Feb. 19]

Event Description

Music students will have equitable access to private instruction with local musicians and teachers. Scholarships will fully or partially fund after school studies in Piano, Voice, Guitar, Violin, Cello, Flute, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion.

Applications must be completed by February 19 at 5:00 pm for consideration. All submissions will be reviewed by a volunteer committee and awarded on a need basis. Once a scholarship is approved, recipients will be contacted via email by the NRO Director of Operations & Education to confirm program participation.

Eligible students reside in Summit County, are in 6th through 12th grades (public school, independent, in-person, remote learning or homeschool), know basic skills on an instrument, are engaged in a music program or any activity where the focus is music and music-making.

Program Dates: Monday, March 8 through Friday, May 28, 2021.

We are committed to the safety of the community, the teachers and the students while sharing the joys of music. Lessons will be thirty minutes to one hour and offered weekly online or in-person pending public health guidelines. Local music educators will teach sessions.
