Event Description

"Beethoven inspires us with the way he weaved the famous “fate” motive throughout the symphony and he created the ultimate metaphor for the “Hero/Shero’s Journey” from darkness to blistering light in the movement from C Minor to C Major. Another monumental work is featured, the Piano Concerto in One Movement by the superlative 20th Century African American composer, Florence Price. The concert opens with a world premiere by CU Composition Competition winner, Ben Morris."
