"Joyce Yang could easily be elected mayor of Salida if she weren't so busy touring the world, soloing with almost all the major orchestras in the U.S. and abroad. She has played recitals at New York's Lincoln Center and Metropolitan Museum, Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center and Chicago's Symphony Hall. She has also played for internationally known chamber music ensembles -- including at Salida Aspen Concerts. For over 40 years, Salida Concerts and the Aspen Music Festival have provided a summer series of classical music for the people of the Arkansas River Valley.”
