Strings Music Festival: Piano Trio
When
Event Description
"Three of the richest and most dramatic of Johannes Brahms’ late piano works kick off an evening of exciting works for small but mighty forces. A violin and cello duo delivers unexpected impact, and the program closes with the animated and celebratory “Dumky” Trio by Antonin Dvořák. In terms of the number of musical instruments involved, this is a program which starts as small as possible and grows by increments of one. But in terms of dramatic impact, it starts big, veers into territory both sublime and serene, and delivers excitement in wave after wave."
With Vijay Gupta, violin; Joel Noyes, cello; Benjamin Hochman, piano.
