Bobby Noyes founded his bike-rack company RockyMounts in Boulder, and was instrumental in transforming the city into the bike-friendly place it's known as today.

But now Noyes and RockyMounts are decamping from the Front Range to relaunch in Grand Junction. The Western Slope city reminds Noyes of an older Boulder, he said, and he's planning on bringing his community-changing biking activism with him.

Noyes talked to Colorado Matters about his ideas on how to make Grand Junction a cycling hotspot, and about the new riverside Las Colonias business park that sealed the deal for the RockyMounts move.
