Former Marine and member of the Benghazi Annex Security Team John Tiegen visited Republican National Committee delegates from Colorado who were not able to travel to President Donald Trump’s convention acceptance speech. They gathered Thursday evening Aug. 27, 2020, for a watch party in Windsor.

You know those folks who knock on your door at this time of year, imploring you to support their candidate or ballot measure? The calls and text messages from campaigns who got your number God-knows-how? The house parties and phonebanks that really earnest friend always wants you to go to? They're all part of the ground game -- the tried-and-true strategy to persuade voters to return their ballots. And this year, like everything else, it's been upended by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This week on the pod we talk about how the pandemic is changing the ground game, and how those changes might affect the election. And speaking of things that might -- or might not -- affect the election: there's a giant Supreme Court fight looming. What does that mean for Colorado politics?
