Remember when there was all that anti-French sentiment around the start of the war in Iraq? About that time, UCCS geographer Thomas P. Huber read about The Leroux Creek Inn near Hotchkiss in western Colorado. It's run by a French man and his wife. Huber decided to stay a few days-- thinking they could use the business. His stay inspired the new book "An American Provence," in which Huber compares and contrasts Colorado's North Fork Valley with Provence in southeastern France.
