When you pull on a pair of wool socks for a hike into the mountains or walk across a sturdy Navajo rug, it may not occur to you to consider what kind of animal the fiber came from. Colorado authors Deborah Robson and Carol Ekarius have put together an encyclopedia of fleece and fiber, from the common sheep that 4H’ers show at the county fair to wild possums in New Zealand.
