Bonnyman's grandson is a freelance writer based in Boulder, and resumed the search for his great-grandfather more than six decades after his grandfather gave it up. His grandfather had bought a headstone for Bonnyman that simply read, "Buried at sea." Evans said that his family won't change the inscription.
