The name of former Broncos owner Pat Bowlen is unveiled during his Broncos’ Ring of Honor induction at halftime of an NFL football game against the Green Bay Packers, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, in Denver. The Broncos now have new owners for the first time since 1984.

National Football League owners met in Minnesota on Tuesday to finalize the sale of the Denver Broncos to a group helmed by Walmart heir Rob Walton. Walton has included a number of diverse individuals as partners, including former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, Starbucks chairwoman Melody Hobson and Formula 1 race car driver Lewis Hamilton. Lindsay Jones, senior NFL editor of the sports and pop culture website The Ringer, discussed the deal.
