The point of view you’re about to hear defies conventional wisdom. We’re going to hear about how schools spend money as part of our series, “Budget Breakdown.” Our guest is former state education commissioner William Moloney. He served under both Democratic and Republican governors from 1997 to 2007. Moloney wrote a report for the Centennial Institute, a conservative think tank at Colorado Christian University, called Much Better Schools on Much Lower Budgets. In it, he says “look at how the best schools in the world spend their money.” Moloney spoke to Ryan Warner.
A few weeks ago, we reported on Ponderosa High School in Parker, where several teachers and students told us bigger classes cause problems. That story can be found here.
