It seems pretty straightforward: An employee comes to work high, and they’re fired. Even with marijuana being legal in Colorado, businesses still have the right to make that call. It says so in Amendment 64. And a recent court ruling affirms a company’s right to fire -- even for medical marijuana use. But some business owners are wondering if they should loosen up.
