Kelly Loving was one of five people killed in the Club Q shootings in Colorado Springs last month. At her funeral Tuesday in Batesville, Mississippi, friends and family remembered her as honest and encouraging to those around her.
“She loved to make people happy and feel good about themselves,” said Loving’s friend, Janelle Roshea Grays.
“I felt comfortable around her. She was always a safe place for me and it’s just sad that she couldn’t be in a safe place even for herself. It’s sad there are people that hate others for literally no reason, because they have lived their truth.”
