It's been almost a year since we first saw plans for a major expansion at Denver International Airport. Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava unveiled his design for a hotel and train station next to the main terminal and a 'signature' bridge across Pena Boulevard for commuter rail.
WellCalatrava’s bridge has been scrapped and the budget for his hoteland train station has been scaled back. Meanwhile, Moody’s ratingservice lowered DIA’s outlook from “stable” to “negative,” partlybecause of concerns about this expansion. DIA’s manager of aviation,Kim Day, joins Ryan Warner.
