Sports superstars and true crime documentaries were hot topics during Denver's "50 First Jokes" a couple days after the New Year rung in. The annual event that challenges 50 stand-up comedians to craft a new joke to start 2016 sold out.
There were only two rules. Comics had to write their material after midnight on Jan. 1 and the jokes couldn't be longer than two minutes.
