Dr. Jennifer Gaudiani worked for years as the head of her own eating disorder clinic, becoming a national expert in the mental illness, before penning a book on the topic.

In "Sick Enough," Gaudiani outlines three major insights and lessons into eating disorders: 1. Our culture needs to learn to accept all body types, 2. Dieting doesn't work, and 3. Eating disorders come with a host of serious, even deadly, medical complications.

Gaudiani talked to Colorado Matters about changes we can make in our culture to suppress the power of eating disorders.
