From daddy with love: Letters to daughter reveal father’s view of Korean War

He missed his family, especially his 4-year-old daughter Ann. In the span of a year, he wrote her hundreds of illustrated letters.

Captain Hughes died in 1981, and his daughter Ann died in 2006.

But daughter-in-law Ann Marie of Denver was so moved by the letters that she compiled them in a new book, "Letters to Ann." Ann Marie speaks with Ryan Warner.
