In Grand Junction’s municipal election, voters will decide on whether to allow the city to help improve broadband Internet service for businesses and residents. State law currently prohibits Colorado cities from establishing broadband networks unless a municipal ballot measure restores the city’s authority to build and regulate them. Seven Colorado cities have already passed similar measures.
