Hundreds of homeowners in Denver got some terrible news recently.
They're not technically supposed to be living in the houses they bought, and might have to sell them at a substantial loss. The city of Denver has given the homeowners six months to fix things, but it remains unclear how homeowners will react.
Some will take a loss from the original purchase price, others will give up equity they've gained in Denver's soaring housing market.
