Stumbling on campaign finance laws and dashing to neighborhood meetings -- that's the life of a first-time candidate for public office. Neither Electra Johnson nor Kevin Sipple planned a career in politics but this year both were inspired to run.
Republican Sipple retired after founding the El Dorado Natural Spring Water company. He is running for Boulder county commissioner in District 1. His opponent is incumbent Elise Jones.
CPR News will follow the two candidates until the election.
Johnson and Sipple spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner.
