New parents have to decide when they’re going to introduce solid food into a child’s diet. And new research shows, for some children, the decision has some really important consequences. That timing can help determine whether or not they develop Type 1 diabetes-- sometimes called “juvenile diabetes.” Jill Norris led this research. She’s the chair of epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health.
