It’s like someone flipped a switch. Right after Labor Day, the weather changed from sweltering to downright chilly. The cooler weather has become ammunition for parents who think it’s too darn hot for kids to go to school in August. In Denver, Pueblo, and Boulder, parents are pushing to have school start after Labor Day and go through mid-June. Ryan Warner speaks with Stacy Smith, whose son goes to Brown Elementary School in Denver. Smith is leading a petition drive to change the school calendar.
