When you live in Colorado, wildfires are a fact of life. This week, that point is being driven home. On Monday, a dark cloud of smoke started billowing up from just West of Boulder. The Fourmile Canyon fire continues to burn out of control. Thousands of people have been evacuated. The blaze has burned at least 136 homes. Now, it’s a waiting game to see where the fire will go, and, for residents, waiting to learn if their homes have been spared. We hear from "Jim." He didn’t want to use his real name because what he did to find out about his home broke the rules. He spoke with Colorado Public Radio’s Zachary Barr.
