Bison, otherwise known as buffalo, are in a precarious place today. They were rescued from the brink of extinction, but not to roam wide open spaces. Thereused to be tens of millions of buffalo throughout the West, untilhunting nearly wiped them out. That chapter of American history, andthe story of buffalo today, make up the new documentary called“Facing The Storm.” Ryan Warner talks with Montana filmmaker Doug Hawes-Davis of High Plains Films.
