Katharine Hayhoe is a scientist with a unique tool to communicate on climate change: her evangelical Christian faith.

To many people, Katharine Hayhoe would appear to have dueling identities: She is an evangelical Christian and director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University. She sees the two as very much related.

The scientist operates a YouTube channel, Global Weirding with Katharine Hayhoe, in partnership with PBS Digital Studios. In videos she tackles subjects ranging from "The Bible doesn’t talk about climate change, right?" to "Developing countries need fossil fuels to reach the standard of living we enjoy, right?"

Hayhoe recently visited Colorado to teach climate scientists how to better communicate on the polarizing topic. She talked to Colorado Matters about her work in expanding climate change discourse to include faith.
