For years, doctors have used hyperbaric oxygen therapy to treat things like bone infections, burns, and acute anemia. Now, some clinics are using it to treat veterans with brain injuries. Since 2009, the Rocky Mountain Hyperbaric Institute in Louisville has been offering free oxygen therapy to vets. The Louisville clinic is part of an ongoing national study. The military is also conducting its own research. Ryan Fullmer runs the clinic. He speaks with CPR’s Andrea Dukakis.
