The 17th Annual New Works Festival at Perry-Mansfield Art School & Camp brings theater companies from around the country together to develop new dramas in the Rocky Mountains. Collaborating playwrights this summer are Maria Alexandria Beech, Itamar Moses and Charles Mee, who will debut his new play “The Glory of the World.”
This three-day festival includes beer and chili tastings featuring more than 20 chili cooks and 25 craft brewers, and a music stage headlined by the Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Boulder jam band Leftover Salmon.
Robinson Theatre at Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction
This retrospective dance concert, featuring many original cast members, will include some of the collective’s favorite dances from performances dating back to their first concert in 2006. Dances to be performed include Ann Sanders's "Broken Lines" and Julie Sinnott's "Davenport Diversions."
Highlights from Project Youth and Chamber Music’s third iteration of this festival include performances, educational workshops, a benefit recital featuring pianist Anne-Marie McDermott and a panel discussion featuring poet and essayist Dr. Dan Beachy-Quick and choreographer Tony Testa among others.
