From the day of his inauguration to the anniversary this week of his first year in office, Donald Trump has been the world's most important, and fascinating, story. One of the people who helped his campaign in Colorado, former state senator Greg Brophy, spoke with Colorado Matters about Trump's impact on the state.
Brophy says the first year of the Trump administration was "spectacular ... more successful than my wildest dreams." Of particular import to Coloradans, he said, was the administration's move to rescind the "Waters of the U.S. Rule," a regulation from the Obama administration that gave the federal government authority over bodies of water on private lands. Moving forward, he said, Trump's position on foreign trade will also help local farmers.
