Amazon will build a second headquarters facility somewhere in North America, a $5 billion project that has many cities drooling over the promise of 50,000 new jobs with an average compensation of more than $100,000. The online retailer has clearly spelled out what it's looking for in a new home city, including a population of over a million, a vibrant economy and a high quality of life. New York Times reporter Claire Cain Miller and her colleagues looked at the potential candidates in the United States, and in a "March Madness" style bracket, began winnowing the list down to one: Denver.
