Alcohol and adventure fueled Ralph Steadmanâ€™s longtime friendship with Hunter S. Thompson. Starting in the 1970's, Steadman's drawings and Thompson's writings became inextricably linked. The two collaborated on articles for Rolling Stone magazine and best-selling books like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas#eI#. In 2005, Thompson committed suicide on his ranch in Woody Creek.
