One in six Coloradans lacks health insurance. A new commission, created by the legislature, is charged with finding ways to improve that statistic. The group will send its recommendations to state lawmakers by the end of 2007. As part of our continuing series on the uninsured, Ryan Warner talks to three members of the commission: Barbara Yondorf, a health policy expert at the Rose Community Foundation; Elizabeth Arenales, a healthcare specialist with the Colorado Center on Law and Policy; and Bill Lindsay, who leads the employee benefit group at Lockton Companies of Colorado, a health insurance brokerage firm.
