Colorado Docs Could Get Federal Dollars to Go High Tech

Colorado doctors are welcoming new guidelines that will help them apply for billions of dollars in incentives to use electronic medical records.The federal Recovery Act passed last year includes $27 billion to help doctors and hospitals make “meaingful use” of electronic medical records. But exactly what “meaningful use” is wasn't defined until Tuesday. Now doctors know exactly what they have to do to qualify for up to $64,000 each.
