Colorado Expecting $300 Million From Federal Jobs Bill

When Governor Ritter and the legislature wrote this year's state budget last spring, they included $212 million in extra money from the federal government. But shifting political winds put that extension of the 2009 Recovery Act in doubt. The law passed Tuesday means K-12 schools in Colorado will have more money for teachers and other staff. Colorado Public Radio's Eric Whitney reports.
