Healthy Conversations: Embedded Behavioral Health at Fort Carson

The National Institute for Mental Health estimates about one in five American adults suffers from some form of mental illness. While May is Mental Health Awareness month, we’re bringing you something a little different for our Healthy Conversation. Fort Carson recently hosted a media day to highlight some of the behavioral health programs in place at the base, one of which includes a benchmark program that’s just beginning the process of being implemented Army-wide. KRCC’s Katherine-Claire O’Connor was there and has this report.
