It’s been almost two months since the country saw the devastating pictures of the Mountain Shadows subdivision burning in Colorado Springs. Those images drove down lodging numbers 13% in July according to a recent report. Today as the USA Pro Challenge rolls into town, officials hope a new image will emerge—and a brighter future for the city’s tourism industry. KUNC’s Grace Hood reports.
