Delays are keeping the I-25 north to US 50 ramp in Pueblo closed longer than anticipated. KRCC’s Eliza Densmore reports.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is keeping the ramp from I-25 northbound to US 50 closed until sometime Wednesday afternoon. It originally closed on Friday for surface replacement and repaving. But due to machinery breakdowns and delayed materials, it’s taking longer than expected to complete. The work is part of a larger road and bridge improvement project around the I-25/US 50 interchange. The project consists of replacing road panels and rebuilding the bridge deck, among other things.

Updated information regarding traffic impacts of this project can be found at CDOT or by calling 511. Traffic can detour by exiting at 29th street (Exit 100B), west on 29th to Elizabeth Street, and north on Elizabeth to US 50, or exit at Eagleridge Boulevard (Exit 102), west on Eagleridge to Elizabeth, and south on Elizabeth to US 50.
