Waldo Canyon Fire Progression Map June 23rd-July 1st.

Residents of the Mountain Shadows area can learn about post-Waldo Canyon Fire flood risks at a neighborhood preparedness meeting tomorrow night.

Experts from outside agencies including the National Weather Service, US Forest Service, and FEMA will address flooding risks and appropriate precautions. Emergency Management spokesman Bret Waters says this is one of many gatherings they plan to hold addressing the threat of flooding.

This is just simply a way for citizen to get more informed. We don’t want anyone to panic, but there is an increased flood risk due to the Waldo Canyon Fire. And so we want to just make sure citizen are aware of what’s happening in their area.

Around 200 people are anticipated to attend.The meeting will be held at the Front Range Alliance Church on Centennial Boulevard at 6:00.
