Amidst possible gun legislation at the statehouse and in Washington, El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa and County Commissioner Peggy Littleton have scheduled a public town hall-style meeting Thursday to answer questions about the ownership and sale of firearms and ammunition. In a release from the county, Littleton said they’ve been getting questions from residents about the proposals. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday evening at 6 at Centennial Hall.
A teacher from Center High School in rural Southern Colorado has been awarded a prestigious national teaching award for science and technology. KRCC’s Hannah Sohl reports.
