A relative newcomer to the Denver music scene, Stephanie Dorman developed an interest in music at a young age. But it was only recently when she began writing and performing her own material. After getting her start at open mic nights in Denver and collaborating with acts like Mike Marchant and Poet's Row, Dorman recruited a band and will release her debut album this month.
The Colorado Springs native, along with her backing band, stopped by OpenAir to perform three songs and to discuss the new EP, titled "Talking Sign," with host Corey Jones. Dorman celebrates the album's release by headlining at the Walnut Room on Saturday, June 22.
