Update, 11:38 am: The affected schools Colorado Springs School District 11 are no longer on lockdown, with the exception of Community Prep.
Lockdowns have been lifted at Palmer, North, Columbia and Taylor. All students/staff are safe.

Police are requesting residents within a one-mile radius of Wahsatch and Dale in downtown Colorado Springs remain indoors as they work to contain a situation in which shots were allegedly fired. This includes the Colorado College campus. Colorado Springs School District 11 has also locked down Palmer High School, Columbia and Taylor elementary schools, and North Middle School and Community Prep as a precautionary measure. According to the Gazette, a man has allegedly left his home, fired a gun, and gone back inside, repeatedly.
