This beloved local event dedicated to all things western from fiddle playing to rodeo has much to offer during its middle weekend. Highlights include the the coronation of Miss Rodeo Colorado, a chainsaw demonstration and the Wild West show.

Chautauqua Community House, Boulder 
Colorado Chautauqua Association’s monthly exploration of the galaxy heads to Saturn this month when Dr. Larry Esposito of NASA's Cassini mission unveils the secrets of the planet’s famous rings.
Thursday, Jan. 16, 7:30 p.m. - The Studios at Overland Crossing, Denver
Friday, Jan. 17, 7:30 p.m. - Broomfield Auditorium, Broomfied
This innovative new music ensemble consisting of 13 string players presents two concerts in Denver and Broomfield of works by Debussy, Bartók, Regina Spektor and Ravel, as well as a musical mash-up and a contest. 
Saturday, Jan. 18, 6:00 p.m. 
Theater at Colorado Heights University, Denver
Hype 303, a hip-hop dance group based in Aurora, brings one of the premiere national urban dance-offs to Colorado for the first time. The event features break-dancing, popping and waacking among other styles.

Edge Theatre, Lakewood
Lyle Kessler’s gritty 1983 play about two orphaned brothers in Philadelphia who get entangled in the kidnapping of a mobster has achieved success at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, off-Broadway, Broadway and in London’s West End.
