A peek inside Yo-Yo Ma’s playhouse music party with the Silk Road Ensemble

· Apr. 1, 2014, 6:50 am

Yo-Yo Ma is a longtime friend of public radio in general and CPR Classical in particular. He went on the air and helped us raise money for the Colorado Symphony a few years ago.

He is a serious musician who doesn't take himself too seriously, so it's not surprising members of his Silk Road Ensemble also have a playful sense of humor.

Watch what happens in this NPR Music video when they're turned loose for a performance in the ACME Studio of theatrical props in Brooklyn.
