The album’s title is certainly an apt description, as the songs we heard were packed with sweet melodies hinting at folk, country and classic rock 'n' roll influences.

This marked the second time You Me & Apollo performed at OpenAir. Scott Carney chatted with the band about the origins of the new songs, their crowdfunding campaign to fund their recording session in Memphis, and whether or not community funding is the future of indie music.

The band headlines the Bluebird Theater on Friday, May 9 for their album release show. Desert Noises and Patrick Dethlefs will open.
